In the last days we have to be careful so that we don`t give heed to deceptive doctrines and movements sweeping all over the world, because hard times will come, and many will be deceived. Jesus Christ, the Son of God is the only one who can give you true repentance, forgiveness and power to overcome the world. John Wesley 2Pe 2:2 The way of truth will be evil spoken of - By those who blend all false and true Christians together.

Upp 18:2 And he cried, Babylon is fallen - This fall was mentioned before, Rev_14:8; but is now declared at large. And is become an habitation - A free abode. Of devils, and an hold - A prison. Of every unclean spirit - Perhaps confined there where they had once practised all uncleanness, till the judgment of the great day. How many horrid inhabitants hath desolate Babylon! of invisible beings, devils, and unclean spirits; of visible, every unclean beast, every filthy and hateful bird. Suppose, then, Babylon to mean heathen Rome; what have the Romanists gained, seeing from the time of that destruction, which they say is past, these are to be its only inhabitants for ever.
Scofield
Upp 18:2
Babylon
Babylon, "confusion," is repeatedly used by the prophets in a symbolic sense
(See Scofield) - (Isa_13:2), note 2.
Two "Babylons" are to be distinguished in the Revelation: ecclesiastical babylon, which is apostate Christendom, headed up under the Papacy; and political babylon, which is the Beast's confederated empire, the last form of Gentile world-dominion.
Ecclesiastical Babylon is "the great whore" (Rev_17:1) and is destroyed by political Babylon (Rev_17:15-18) that the beast may be the alone object of worship. (2Th_2:3); (2Th_2:4); (Rev_13:15). The power of political Babylon is destroyed by the return of the Lord in glory.
(See "Armageddon,"); (Rev_16:14); (Rev_19:17).
The notion of a literal Babylon to be rebuilt on the site of ancient Babylon is in conflict with (Isa_13:19-22). But the language of (Rev_18:10); (Rev_18:16); (Rev_18:18) seems beyond question to identify "Babylon," the "city" of luxury and traffic, with "Babylon" the ecclesiastical centre, namely, Rome. The very kings who hate ecclesiastical Babylon deplore the destruction of commercial Babylon.

Tithe http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tithe
A tithe (from Old English teogoþa "tenth") is a one-tenth part of something, paid as a (usually) voluntary contribution or as a tax or levy, usually to support a religious organization.
Today, tithes (or tithing) are normally voluntary and paid in cash, cheques, or stocks, whereas historically tithes could be paid in kind, such as agricultural products.
Several European countries operate a formal process linked to the tax system allowing some churches to assess tithes.
"Tithing" also has unrelated economic and juridical senses, dating back to the Early Middle Ages.
See "Tithing (country subdivision)".
The Esretu — the standard Babylonian one-tenth tax
Hebrew is a Semitic language, related to Akkadian, the lingua franca of that time. An Akkadian noun that Abraham was most likely familiar with given his Babylonian background was esretu, meaning "one-tenth". By the time of Abraham, this phrase was used to refer to the "one-tenth tax," or "tithe". Listed below are some specific instances of the Mesopotamian tithe, taken from The Assyrian Dictionary of the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago, Vol. 4 "E":
[Referring to a ten per cent tax levied on garments by the local ruler:] "the palace has taken eight garments as your tithe (on 85 garments)"
"…eleven garments as tithe (on 112 garments)"
"...(the sun-god) Shamash demands the tithe..."
Check this for further reading on Shamash - the Sun god, Sin generally takes precedence of Shamash, it is in relationship, presumably, to the moon-god that the sun-god appears as the dependent power. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shamash

2Ku 23:4 And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel.

2Ki 23:5 And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.
2Ki 23:6 And he brought out the grove from the house of the LORD, without Jerusalem, unto the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and stamped it small to powder, and cast the powder thereof upon the graves of the children of the people.
2Ku 23:7 And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove.
2Ki 23:8 And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba, and brake down the high places of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man's left hand at the gate of the city.
2Ku 23:9 Nevertheless the priests of the high places came not up to the altar of the LORD in Jerusalem, but they did eat of the unleavened bread among their brethren.
2Ki 23:10 And he defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech.
2Ki 23:11 And he took away the horses that the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entering in of the house of the LORD, by the chamber of Nathanmelech the chamberlain, which was in the suburbs, and burned the chariots of the sun with fire.
2Ki 23:12 And the altars that were on the top of the upper chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of the LORD, did the king beat down, and brake them down from thence, and cast the dust of them into the brook Kidron.
2Ku 23:13 And the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, did the king defile.
2Ki 23:14 And he brake in pieces the images, and cut down the groves, and filled their places with the bones of men.
2Ki 23:15 Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned the high place, and stamped it small to powder, and burned the grove.
2Ki 23:16 And as Josiah turned himself, he spied the sepulchres that were there in the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the sepulchres, and burned them upon the altar, and polluted it, according to the word of the LORD which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words.
2Ki 23:17 Then he said, What title is that that I see? And the men of the city told him, It is the sepulchre of the man of God, which came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that thou hast done against the altar of Bethel.
2Ki 23:18 And he said, Let him alone; let no man move his bones. So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria.
2Ku 23:19 And all the houses also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke the LORD to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Bethel.
2Ku 23:20 And he slew all the priests of the high places that were there upon the altars, and burned men's bones upon them, and returned to Jerusalem.
2Ki 23:21 And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the passover unto the LORD your God, as it is written in the book of this covenant.
2Ki 23:22 Surely there was not holden such a passover from the days of the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah;
2Ki 23:23 But in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, wherein this passover was holden to the LORD in Jerusalem.
2Ki 23:24 Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD.
2Ki 23:25 And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.
2Ki 23:26 Notwithstanding the LORD turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him withal.
2Ku 23:27 And the LORD said, I will remove Judah also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.
2Ki 23:28 Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
2Ki 23:29 In his days Pharaohnechoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king Josiah went against him; and he slew him at Megiddo, when he had seen him.
Apg 7:35 This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.
Apg 7:36 He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.
Apg 7:37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.
Apg 7:38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:
Apg 7:39 To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,
Apg 7:40 Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
Apg 7:41 And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.
Apg 7:42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?
Apg 7:43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

Because of this standard one-tenth tax in Babylon, Abraham of the Genesis account was most likely familiar with the concept of giving up ten-percent of goods as tax
The Church of the Tithes or Church of the Dormition of the Virgin
Desyatinnaya Tserkov') was the first stone church in Kiev. It was built by the order of Grand PrinceVladimir (Volodymyr) the Greatetween 989 and 996 by Byzantine and local workers to commemorate the Baptism of Kievan Rus' and was originally named the "Church of Our Lady", in honor of the Dormition of the Theotokos. Vladimir set aside a tithe of his income to finance the church construction, which gave the church its popular name.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Prince
Vladimir's significance and historical footprint
One of the largest Kievan cathedrals is dedicated to him. The University of Kiev was named after the man who Christianized Kievan Rus. There is the Russian Order of St. Vladimir and Saint Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary in the United States. The Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches celebrate the feast day of St. Vladimir on 15 July.
His memory was also kept alive by innumerable Russian folk ballads and legends, which refer to him as Krasno Solnyshko, that is, the Fair Sun. With him the Varangian period of Eastern Slavic history ceases and the Christian period begins.

The Dormition of the Theotokos (Greek: Κοίμησις Koímēsis, often anglicized as Kimisis) is a Great Feast of the Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox and Eastern Catholic Churches which commemorates the "falling asleep" or death of the Theotokos (Mary, the mother of Jesus; literally translated as God-bearer). It is celebrated on August 15 (August 28, N.S. for those following the Julian Calendar) as the Feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God. The Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates the Dormition not on a fixed date, but on the Sunday nearest August 15.
History
By Vladimir's order, the remains of his grandmother Princess Olga, the first Christian ruler of Rus', were reburied in this church. Vladimir and his wife, Princess Anna, the sister of Byzantine Emperor Basil II, were also buried in the Church of the Tithes.
See

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Nicholas -victory of the people
The church was used by Kievans as the last refuge while the city was being ravaged by the hordes of Batu Khan in 1240, when it finally collapsed from fire. Chernihiv's Saviour Cathedral (1036) is an extant structure supposed to reproduce the dimensions and exterior appearance of the original Church of the Tithes.
Appearance - (look, form, manifestation, outer shell, façade, outward show, emergence, development, arrival, growth, beginning, advent, disappearance, loss, desertion, departure, fading, evaporation, vanishing)
In the 1630s the wooden church of St. Nicholas (victory of the people) was erected on the site by initiative of Kiev metropolitan Peter Mogila (Mohyla). Between 1828 and 1842, by the order of the Russian administration, a new stone Church of the Tithes was built to a design by Vasily Stasov, completely different from its original style. In 1935 the church was destroyed by the Soviet authorities.
Reconstruction
A controversial plan to rebuild the church is currently under active consideration in Kiev. Proponents of reconstruction point out the historical and political importance of rebuilding a church of unchallenged significance in the history of all East Slavic people. Opponents refer to the lack of any documentary descriptions or depictions of the original church, and that excavations were unable to determine even the layout of its foundation. Besides, the monumental building of the new church is likely to be in disharmony with the delicate 18th-century St. Andrew's Church, one of the most famous landmarks of Kiev, located adjacent to the original location of the destroyed Church of the Tithes. Its reconstruction would also require the destruction of the city's oldest tree, a 370-year old linden.

More interesting reading concerning , with reference, in the region of, around, nearly, approaching, see spellbinder, wicca
A key belief in Wicca is that the goddesses and gods are able to manifest in personal form, most importantly through the bodies of Priestesses and Priests. The latter kind of manifestation is the purpose of the ritual of Drawing down the Moon (or Drawing down the Sun), whereby the Goddess is called to descend into the body of the Priestess (or the God into the Priest) to effect divine possession.
According to Gardner, the gods of Wicca are ancient gods of the British Isles: a Horned God and a Great Mother goddess. Gardner also states that a being higher than any of these tribal gods is recognised by the witches as Prime Mover, but remains unknowable.

The chief goddess of the Phoenicians, as Baal was the male. By the plural (ASHTAROTH, Baalim: Jdg_10:6; 1Sa_7:4) different phases of the same deity, according to the different places of worship, are indicated. Always plural until under Solomon Ashtoreth or Astarte of Zidon was introduced (1Ki_11:5; 1Ki_11:3). She appears among the Philistines as the idol in whose temple they hung up Saul's armor (1Sa_31:10). She is identified as Ishtar or Nana, the planetary Venus among the Assyrian gods in inscriptions. Her name appears also in Cyprian and Carthaginian monuments; and on the sarcophagus of a king Esmunazar, who restored her temple at Zidon, along with his mother her priestess, Am-ashtoreth. She partly represents the planet Venus, partly the moon, "the queen of heaven" (Jer_7:18; Jer_44:17-18). (See ASHTEROTH-KARNAIM)
Our "star," Greek " aster," Latin stella, is akin. Her worship was most licentious and abominable; closely connected with that of (See ASHERAH, "THE GROVE".
Ashtoreh is the goddess, asherah "the grove," the image or the symbol of the goddess, of wood; asher, yashar, "to be straight," a straight stem of a tree living, or fixed upright (1Ki_18:19; 2Ki_21:7; 2Ki_23:6; 2Ki_23:13-14; 2Ki_23:15; Jdg_6:25; Jdg_6:30). The "bringing out the asherah from the house of the Lord," and the "cutting down," suit such a symbol, not a grace in our sense. The active and passive powers of nature, generative and receptive, suggested the male and female deities, Baal and Ashtoreh. The ewes of a flock were called Ashteroth on this principle, propagating the flock (Deu_7:13).
The earliest worship of apostasy was that of the sun, moon, etc. This naturally was grafted on idol worship, Baal sometimes being the sun god, sometimes distinct (2Ki_23:5). So Ashtoreh and the moon. The stone pillar was the symbol of Baal, as the sacred tree was the symbol of Ashtoreh; stone marking his strength as the male, the tree her fruitfulness (Deu_16:21). The sacred tree constantly accompanies the gods in the Assyrian monuments. In the Moabite Dibon stone the male form Astar is prefixed to Chamos or Chemosh, answering to the female Astarte. Identical with Athtar or Athtor of the Himyeritic inscriptions, and Estar of the Ninevite inscriptions; the Canaanite form of the male Aphroditos answering to the female Aphrodite.

Ashtoreth
ash´to-reth, ash-tō reth (עשׁתּרת, ‛ashtōreth; plural עשׁתּרות, ‛ashtārōth; Ἀσταρτῆ, Astartḗ):
Name and Origin
Attributes of the Goddess
Ashtoreth as a Moon-Goddess
The Local Ashtaroth
1. Name and Origin
The name of the supreme goddess of Canaan and the female counterpart of Baal.
The name and cult of the goddess were derived from Babylonia, where Ishtar represented the evening and morning stars and was accordingly androgynous in origin. Under Semitic influence, however, she became solely female, but retained a memory of her primitive character by standing, alone among the Assyro-Bab goddesses, on a footing of equality with the male divinities.
From Babylonia the worship of the goddess was carried to the Semites of the West, and in most instances the feminine suffix was attached to her name; where this was not the case the deity was regarded as a male.
On the Moabite Stone, for example, 'Ashtar is identified with Chemosh, and in the inscriptions of southern Arabia 'Athtar is a god. On the other hand, in Atar-gatis or Derketo (2 Macc 12:26), Atar, without the feminine suffix, is identified with the goddess 'Athah or 'Athi (Greek Gatis). The cult of the Greek Aphrodı́tē in Cyprus was borrowed from that of Ashtoreth; whether the Greek name also is a modification of Ashtoreth, as has often been maintained, is doubtful.
Hes 8:14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD'S house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
2. Attributes of the Goddess
In Babylonia and Assyria Ishtar was the goddess of love and war. An old Babylonian legend related how the descent of Ishtar into Hades in search of her dead husband, Tammuz, was followed by the cessation of marriage and birth in both earth and heaven, while the temples of the goddess at Nineveh and Arbela, around which the two cities afterward grew up, were dedicated to her as the goddess of war. As such she appeared to one of Assur-bani-pal's seers and encouraged the Assyrian king to march against Elam.
The other goddesses of Babylonia, who were little more than reflections of the god, tended to merge into Ishtar who thus became a type of the female divinity, a personification of the productive principle in nature, and more especially the mother and creatress of mankind.
The chief seat of the worship of Ishtar in Babylonia was Erech, where prostitution was practiced in her name, and she was served with immoral rites by bands of men and women. In Assyria, where the warlike side of the goddess was predominant, no such rites seem to have been practiced, and, instead, prophetesses were attached to her temples to whom she delivered oracles.
3. Ashtoreth as a Moon-Goddess
In Canaan, Ashtoreth, as distinguished from the male 'Ashtar, dropped her warlike attributes, but in contradistinction to Ashērāh, whose name and cult had also been imported from Assyria, became, on the one hand, the colorless consort of Baal, and on the other hand, a moon-goddess. In Babylonia the moon was a god, but after the rise of the solar theology, when the larger number of the Babylonian gods were resolved into forms of the sun-god, their wives also became solar, Ishtar, “the daughter of Sin” the moon-god, remaining identified with the evening-star. In Canaan, however, when the solar theology had absorbed the older beliefs, Baal, passing into a sun-god and the goddess who stood at his side becoming a representative of the moon - the pale reflection, as it were, of the sun - Ashtoreth came to be regarded as the consort of Baal and took the place of the solar goddesses of Babylonia.
4. The Local Ashtaroth
Hence there were as “many Ashtoreths” or Ashtaroth as Baals. They represented the various forms under which the goddess was worshipped in different localities (Jdg_10:6; 1Sa_7:4; 1Sa_12:10, etc.). Sometimes she was addressed as Naamah, “the delightful one,” Greek Astro-noē, the mother of Eshmun and the Cabeiri. The Philistines seem to have adopted her under her warlike form (1Sa_31:10 the King James Version reading “Ashtoreth,” as Septuagint), but she was more usually the moon-goddess (Lucian, De Dea Syriac., 4; Herodian, v.6, 10), and was accordingly symbolized by the horns of a cow. See ASHTAROTH-KARNAIM. Ashteroth Karnaim
An ancient city of Palestine taken by Chedorlaomer.
Gen_14:5
At Ashkelon, where Herodotus (i.105) places her most ancient temple, she was worshipped under the name of Atar-gatis, as a woman with the tail of a fish, and fish were accordingly sacred to her. Elsewhere the dove was her sacred symbol. The immoral rites with which the worship of Ishtar in Babylonia was accompanied were transferred to Canaan (Deu_23:18) and formed part of the idolatrous practices which the Israelites were called upon to extirpate.
5Mo 23:17 There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.
5Mo 23:18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
5Mo 23:19 Thou shalt not lend upon usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury:
5Mo 23:20 Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
TAMMUZ [ISBE]
TAMMUZ - tam'-uz, tam'-mooz (tammuz; Thammouz):
(1) The name of a Phoenician deity, the Adonis of the Greeks. He was originally a Sumerian or Babylonian sun-god, called Dumuzu, the husband of Ishtar, who corresponds to Aphrodite of the Greeks. The worship of these deities was introduced into Syria in very early times under the designation of Tammuz and Astarte, and appears among the Greeks in the myth of Adonis and Aphrodite, who are identified with Osiris and Isis of the Egyptian pantheon, showing how widespread the cult became.
The Babylonian myth represents Dumuzu, or Tammuz, as a beautiful shepherd slain by a wild boar, the symbol of winter. Ishtar long mourned for him and descended into the underworld to deliver him from the embrace of death (Frazer, Adonis, Attis and Osiris). This mourning for Tammuz was celebrated in Babylonia by women on the 2nd day of the 4th month, which thus acquired the name of Tammuz (see CALENDAR).
This custom of weeping for Tammuz is referred to in the Bible in the only passage where the name occurs (Ezek 8:14). The chief seat of the cult in Syria was Gebal (modern Gebail, Greek Bublos) in Phoenicia, to the South of which the river Adonis (Nahr Ibrahim) has its mouth, and its source is the magnificent fountain of Apheca (modern `Afqa), where was the celebrated temple of Venus or Aphrodite, the ruins of which still exist. The women of Gebal used to repair to this temple in midsummer to celebrate the death of Adonis or Tammuz, and there arose in connection with this celebration those licentious rites which rendered the cult so infamous that it was suppressed by Constantine the Great.
The name Adonis, by which this deity was known to the Greeks, is none other than the Phoenician 'Adhon, which is the same in Hebrew. His death is supposed to typify the long, dry summer of Syria and Palestine, when vegetation perishes, and his return to life the rainy season when the parched earth is revivified and is covered with luxuriant vegetation, or his death symbolizes the cold, rough winter, the boar of the myth, and his return the verdant spring.
Considering the disgraceful and licentious rites with which the cult was celebrated, it is no wonder that Ezekiel should have taken the vision of the women weeping for Tammuz in the temple as one of the greatest abominations that could defile the Holy House.
See ADONIS.
(2) The fourth month of the Jewish year, corresponding to July. The name is derived from that of a Syrian god, identified with Adonis (Ezek 8:14).
See above, and CALENDAR.

Hes 8:17 Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.

John Bevere and Ulf Ekman exposed! False shepherds
Here is one more collaborator of Livets Ord Uppsala, Ulf Ekman “university”,(see property) let`s see what he is actually teaching about, examine by the scripture!
As for Ulf Ekman embracing, taking up every unsound doctrine who is useful for his selfish means, twisting the scriptures, adding to it and taking away the truth, telling lies in hypocrisy.
The list is long of those erring teaching`s of Ulf Ekman, especially his knotty “faith teaching”, JDS, Gnosticism, “little gods”,tithing and double standards, leading many people into traps, destruction, seduced by terms of prosperity living as used for giving access to many, and believing lies in hypocrisy.
This is a New Age dough mixed into a false gospel!
Now as for Ulf Ekman (mother church concept, centre) he is misleading many into the catholic/charismatic fall away movement, corrupting again and making false words of unity, love, etc. finding he is using the same terms as those ecumenical pagan leaders, as the pope and his demon teacher`s who will lead into a compromised form of religion, as Revelation 17-19 warn us about!
There is needful to warn about such lies creeping into many churches today!
Same old lies from the serpent!

john Bevere and his wife lisa are friends with one of worse pastor impersonators robb thompson of family harvest church where they preach regularly.
Look at the Family Harvest thread, and you will see the same mode of bad stewardship operations expensive jewlery, excessive salaries, over five boob jobs for pastors wives, daughters and staff, $5,000 suits, collection of $30,000 Rolex's, $100k- $500k cars, $3 Million houses airplanes etc..
These cult pastors push heavy CONTROL submission to authority. They preach Gag orders, no questions, never disclosing financial information etc..
The worse is preaching CULT fear SHEPHERDING gestapo type tactics. They state you are not under Gods protection if you leave. They have to preach this FEAR doctrine in order to CONTROL the people and their money. FEAR not Faith is their motivator.
They preach beyond the Bible that you are CURSED if you don't give to them. The BIBLE STATES otherwise. Gal 3:13 says Jesus set us "free from the Curse."
Giving is a Godly principle but only to GOOD STEWARDS. Planting money (seed) in bad ground will yield no harvest for others or yourself, only the con-trol pastor.
Godly pastors of succesful ministries having reasonable salaries and open financial statements is fine. The Bible is clear about not being a minister for "Filthy Lucre" and "financial gain".
These other abusive people are not ministers or pastors but impersonators.
Many of them with FAKE doctorates from internet diploma mills. True ministry office of the teacher and pastor is one who walks in love and like a good shepherd, cares for and hangs out with the sheep. Not these aloof authority fear spouters.
"You shall know them by their fruit"... God doesn't yield this kind of bad fruit.
Read the Family harvest thread and you will find all the same things along with good information to combat these SPIRITUAL ABUSES. Don't throw away God or church because of these few abusers.
There are GOOD PASTORS who make 50-100k plus per year. Their churches are thriving, open to dialogue, wonderful loving spiritually FREE places, with good spirtual food and Romans 8:14 teaching people to be "LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD," and not some man. People and families are being saved, set free, maturing in the word.

Now let`s see about John Bevere.
John Bevere - Unbiblical Teachings
by Sandy Simpson, 11/08/02
________________________________________
Here are a few quotes by John Bevere that show his unbiblical and heretical teachings. My comments are in blue. (seeText under Sandy Simson.)
John Bevere Teaches Dominionism
On Sunday morning, April 21st, at New Life Christian Fellowship in Kelowna Lance Wallnau of the CNET team presented a teaching. He outlined the standard Restorationism timeline. I'll quote directly from John Bevere's new book "The Fear of the Lord," where John uses the same outline.
"Come, let us return to the Lord; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; and on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight." Hosea 6:1-2
This passage is a prophetic Scripture describing God's refinement of His church in preparation for His glory. He has torn but He will heal. A day with the Lord is a thousand years (2 Pet.3:8). It has been two full days (two thousand years) since the resurrection of the Lord. We are on the verge of God's reviving and restoring His glory to His temple. The third day speaks of the thousand year reign of Christ when He will live and reign in our sight. Hosea gives further instruction about how to live and what to pursue as we prepare for His glory. (p.123)
"Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning: He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth." Hosea 6:3 (Source: http://www.nextreformation.com/html/general/tabernacle1.htm)
Sandy Simpson
Bevere totally misses the fulfillment of the prophecy in Hosea in and through Jesus Christ! This verse has nothing whatsoever to do with some kind of latter rain super church. The way that Jesus Christ is going to "restore" His glory (which has never needed to be restored) is to physically return to earth to rule and judge (Matt. 24:30, Is. 11:4). There is no such thing as a great end times revival, unless you are talking about many in Israel believing that Jesus Christ is the Messiah during the end of the Tribulation. Until that time many false prophets have gone out (Matt. 24:11, 1 John 4:1), many will fall away (apostatize) and the antichrist comes first (2 Thes. 2:3). What Bevere is teaching is just more Latter Rain tripe.
John Bevere Teaches Extra Biblical Revelation And Discernment By Feelings
Question and Answers
By: John Bevere
Question:
How do I know that God has spoken to me if there is no verse in the Bible which specifically relates to what I have heard?
John's Response:
Our first standard for judging anything is the council of the Scriptures Therefore anything we hear must not contradict God's word. However, there are times when God speaks to us about issues we cannot find chapter and verse for, such as who we are to marry, there we're to attend church, where to work, etc.
Our safeguard in these situations is the inward witness of the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:14-16 tells us, "For us many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God...the Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit..." But before I discuss this, it is of the utmost importance that our hearts are clean and neutral to hear whatever God desires of us. We must examine ourselves to see if there is anything in our hearts or lives, which is sin. One thing to particularly guard against is covetousness, or a strong desire for gain. We're told covetousness will keep us from hearing the will of God (see Eze. 14:2-4; covetousness is New Testament idolatry, see Col. 3:5).
Sandy Simpson
Our hearts are never "clean and neutral" except by our identification with Christ in His death on the cross. His blood covers our sins as we are crucified with Christ. We are not actually sinless, perfect or "neutral" as the Catholics and, apparently, Bevere also teaches. We are to put to death the old man and put on the new man, but we are still in the flesh and subject to temptation and sin. There is no man who is sinless (1 John 1:8), except Jesus Christ (Heb. 4:15) who is the God-man (1 Tim. 3:16). We cannot use our hearts alone as a basis to judge inner voices and leadings. We must ultimately subject ALL thoughts, desires, dreams, visions, and feelings to the hammer of God's Word (Jer. 23:29, 2 Tim. 3:16). Our feelings are subjective and can be easily manipulated.
John Bevere
Once our heart is clean, we can trust the witness of the Holy Spirit as it bears witness with our spirit or heart. This raises two important points. First the witness is not in our head but our heart. Second, His witness is not found in words but in peace, or the lack of it. Paul says, "And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds.] When we hear something within and sense peace it is the Holy Spirit's confirmation of truth. If there is unrest or grieving, it is not the Spirit of God who has spoken. (Source: http://stair_case_to_heaven.tripod.com/Q-and-A.htm)
Sandy Simpson
We must test all leadings and thoughts in our minds and hearts with the written Word of God (1 Thes. 5:21, Acts 17:11). The witness of the Spirit is not only in our hearts, but certainly in our minds (Rom. 2:14-16, 1 Cor. 14:14-15, Rom. 8:6). But most importantly it is in our spirit, the new man. Gnostics like Bevere often confuse the body (flesh) and soul (mind) with spirit. We should definitely not simply trust some feeling of peace we have on any particular subject, but we must also (1) get the counsel of elders (Acts 16:4, Prov. 11:14), (2) find counsel in the written Word (Ps. 119:105, 2 Tim. 3:15, John 5:39), (3) pray about the situation (Col. 1:9), and (4) judge rightly (John 7:24) to verify what is truly a leading of the Spirit or what may be from our own minds, from coercion by others or from the enemy. It is very bad advice to tell a person, having had a feeling about something, to just make sure they have "peace" about it. It must be tested far beyond what Bevere is teaching (1 Thes. 5:21). In additiona, sometimes the Holy Spirit also brings great unrest and grieving to lead us into the Father's will and sanctification (Acts 16:7, 1 Pet. 1:2). The Spirit disciplines those who truly love the Lord (Heb. 12:6 & 10, Prov. 3:12), and those who are not disciplined and only go the direction of least resistance (that of feelings of peace) are not really children of God (Heb. 12:8).
John Bevere Teaches Against The Rapture
In a videotaped message entitled The Coming Glory John Bevere proclaims:
Listen…the greatest…eh…eh…I get so frustrated when people start talking about, "well we're going to be raptured" and, they kind of have the attitude of "I can't wait to get out of this mess." Look, do you think God's brought us through all this wilderness just to get us out? Do you think He's put us through all this training just so He could fly us away? There's been a reason. A reason. And we're on the brink of it. I believe we're on, we're on the brink of it. (John Bevere, Videotaped message: "The Coming Glory", (Orlando, Fla.: John Bevere Ministries)
I could cite many more examples of Charismatic (and Pentecostal) leaders who have forsaken the blessed hope for this earthly delusion. Robbed of their hope of an imminent return of our Lord, many Christians have grown lukewarm toward Christ and worldly-minded in their attitudes and desires, just as He prophesied. As Dave Hunt points out:
Whether or not we truly long for Christ's return and are ready for Him to come at any moment will obviously affect how we live. To awaken each morning with the joyful anticipation that this could be the day that Christ will catch away his own from earth to heaven transforms our daily lives as nothing else could…Contrary to what the critics say, the hope of Christ's imminent return doesn't lead to spiritual lethargy or an escapist mentality which shuns responsibility and trial. Rather, it causes us to witness more earnestly and to live holier lives, knowing that very little time for doing so may remain.(Source: Anointing Or Apostasy: The Latter Rain Legacy, Charles Graves, http://www.banner.org.uk/res/latterrain.pdf)
Sandy Simpson
We are not headed for some kind of ultimate dominion over the earth by the Church, then Christ can come back in His Church or within individual Christians. We are headed for apostasy (2 Thes. 2:3), a great tribulation (Rev. 7:14), the reign of the antichrist (1 John 2:18), the killing of Christians everywhere (Rev. 13,:7, 18:24) then Christ will come back bodily to rule and judge (2 Thes. 2) from the throne of David (Luke 1:32) for a thousand years (Rev. 20:6). It is clear that sometime, either prior to, during or at the end of the Tribulation the Lord will take His Bride, the Church, to meet Him in the air (1 Thes. 4:17). Dave Hunt is correct when he says that the doctrine of the imminent return of Christ is a hope that keeps us awake (Rev. 16:15) and ready, instead of a false hope like Bevere teaches that urges people to put their hope in the Church and human plans rather than in Jesus Christ.
John Bevere Belittles The Scriptures
Sharpening Your Prophetic Insight
By John Bevere
Prophecy is an important element of our Christian life. The Scriptures themselves are soaked in prophetic words given to God's people. Some were given to individuals, others to a city, a nation or segment of people. Still others stand as universal in regard to God's will and His return. Therefore it is important we do not draw back from prophetic instruction, but learn to handle it correctly. Jesus shared this with His closest followers: "And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe" (John 14:29). Jesus knew their faith would be greatly strengthened by the fulfillment of His words. Paul told his young apprentice, "This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare" (1 Tim 1:18). The prophetic words of the Holy Spirit would help Timothy face the battles he would encounter within his mind. They were important.
When it comes to the prophetic there are two extremes within the church. First, there are those who believe it is no longer necessary. Second, there are those who believe it is, yet mishandle it. Both are incorrect and can lead to frustration and possibly error. The first is like someone in a vast wilderness who tries to locate a certain city to their east without using a compass, the sun or any other indicators of direction. They may have instructions on how to make and survive the journey, but they are lost without an indication of which way to go. Their time would be spent in frustration not knowing the general direction to walk in. Those who shun all God-given prophetic words or signs run the inherent risk of activity and labor without ever actually reaching their divine destiny.
Sandy Simpson
Those who oppose modern prophets, though strict secessionism is unbiblical, do not "shun all God-given prophetic words." In fact they believe that the written Bible holds the ultimate prophetic words because they have been proven, time and again, to be completely accurate -- and because they believe the Scriptures to be God breathed, innerant, and authoritative in all matters of Faith and practice. This kind of argument by Bevere is a strawman argument. He sets up two extremes so he can be viewed as being balanced and moderate between them, when in fact he is lying about what secessionists believe. I am not a secessionist, but I can tell you that secessionists are as much guided by the Lord as those who (1) believe in prophesy only as it conforms to the written Word and, if predictive, is found to be 100% accurate and (2) those who claim there is an ongoing revelation, which may or may not be in line with the Word. Notice where the middle ground actually is, not where John Bevere sits.
John Bevere
The other extreme, those who believe yet mishandle prophetic words or signs, are the ones I'd like to address in this article. One day in prayer the Holy Spirit checked me, "Why do My people follow signs?" I was startled and began to ponder the question when I heard, "I never told My people to follow signs; I told them to follow Me and to discern signs!" I realized He was communicating that we believers are exhorted to be led by the Spirit (Rom. 8:14), and in doing so He would sometimes use signs as indicators of what He was saying. Yet it would not be the signs that were to lead us, but Him. Allow me to illustrate. The Pharisees and scribes were experts in the Scriptures. They could recite the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Bible, from memory. They were the ones Herod consulted after hearing the news of a king being born in his land. From their knowledge of prophetic scriptures they were able to tell Herod the exact city in which the Messiah's birth occurred. Years later different leaders who had the same knowledge of Scripture as those Herod consulted were watching for the Messiah as well, for they knew from prophetic scriptures it was the time of His coming as well as what kind of leader He would be. They were familiar with Isaiah's prophecy, "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder…of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever" (Isa. 9:6-7). Isaiah's prophecy was referred to as a prophetic sign by the angel of the Lord on the night of Jesus' birth (Luke 2:12). From this prophetic scripture or sign they interpreted Messiah as a conquering king who would deliver their nation from Roman rule and restore the kingdom of Israel permanently. They were unaware that this kingdom would begin within men's hearts and thousands of years later manifest as a physical throne in Jerusalem.
Sandy Simpson
The Kingdom of the Lord will not "manifest" as in some kind of spiritual manifestation, but will "manifest" itself physically, in reality, in the bodily return of Jesus Christ to rule from the throne of David and to judge the nations. This betrays Bevere's Dominionist teachings.
John Bevere
For this reason they despised Jesus, a carpenter from Nazareth, whom many acknowledged as Messiah. He was not the ruling king they had anticipated. In their disgust they repeatedly questioned, "If you are the Messiah, then where is the restoration of the kingdom?" (author's paraphrase).
Sandy Simpson
Notice Bevere's reference to Restorationism in his "paraphrase" of this verse.
John Bevere
In essence they said, "Hey, if you're the Messiah, you'd deliver us from Roman oppression and set up the kingdom." They saw Him as just some young rebel rabbi and refused to acknowledge Him because He didn't fit their interpretation and application of the prophetic scripture. On top of all that, He hadn't come up through their ranks!
In an attempt to help them, Jesus answered, "The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you" (Luke 17:20-21). They still couldn't see for they based their insight of life and coming events off their own limited interpretation of the prophetic Scriptures.
Sandy Simpson
Bevere has cleverly misused this passage. The problem with the Pharisees was not that they were basing their lives on the Scriptures alone and denying prophetic insight, but the fact that they were living in disobedience to the Scriptures!
John Bevere
Now, let's step back thirty years further to the month of Jesus' birth. According to the Law of Moses, after giving birth a woman was to wait thirty-three days and then present her son to the priest, who in turn presented him to the Lord. Mary and Joseph had just arrived at the temple to fulfill this when we read, "And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him" (Luke 2:25). This man was looking for the Messiah too, yet he was not an expert in the Law like the priests and scribes. The only description we have of him is he was devout. The Greek word for "devout" is eulabes, which is defined as, "cautious-careful as to the realization of the presence and claims of God, reverencing God, pious." In simplest terms, this word describes one who fears the Lord.
Sandy Simpson
Contrary to what Bevere infers from silence, every elder in Israel knew the Scriptures very well. Simeon was not ignorant of the written Word of God, and because of that he was counting on its fulfillment in actuality. That is the difference between him and the experts in the Law, not his ignorance of Scripture.
John Bevere
Proverbs 1:7 tells us the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. We must ask, The knowledge of what? Is Solomon referring to scientific knowledge? No, many scientists exalt man and have no godly fear. Does this verse refer to social or political accomplishment? No, for the world's ways are foolishness to God. Is it knowledge of the Scriptures? No, for though the Pharisees were experts in the Law, they displeased God. Our answer is found in Proverbs 2:5: Fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. It could also be said this way: You will come to know God intimately. The psalmist confirms this: "The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him" (Ps. 25:14). Think about this in the light of our own lives. We do not share the secrets of our heart with acquaintances; rather we share the deep things of our heart with those closest or intimate with us. God is no different in this matter. The fear of the Lord is the beginning, or starting place, of an intimate relationship with God. The Holy Spirit draws those who fear God.
Sandy Simpson
Though fear of God is a beginning of knowledge, we as believers are to grow in maturity and in the knowledge of God (Eph. 4). The only way to do that is through knowledge of the Word of God (2 Tim. 2:15), taught to us by the Holy Spirit (John 14:26). The Spirit cannot "remind" us of everything Jesus told us outside of the Scriptures. One way not to grow to maturity, in fact to backslide, is to rely on your feelings to guide you toward knowing God fully (Rom. 12:2, Luke 10:27).
John Bevere
Some would say, "No, He is drawn to those who love God." This is true, but how can you love someone you really don't know? Let me illustrate. There are many who love athletic and Hollywood celebrities. Their names are commonly used in many households. The media lay bare their personal lives through television interviews and articles in newspapers and magazines. I hear fans talk so fondly of the celebrities as though these celebrities were close friends. I've seen people caught up emotionally in their personal problems and watched them grieve as if they were a part of the family when a sports or screen star dies. Unless these fans initiated contact with their hero as they passed on the street, they wouldn't even receive a nod of acknowledgment. If they were bold enough to stop this celebrity, they might find the real person quite different from the image he or she portrays and find out quickly they loved an imaginary figure, not the real person. They discover the relationship between celebrities and fans is more often than not a one-way thing. The Lord tells us the starting place of a genuine relationship with Him begins with the fear of the Lord. To those who love Him, He reveals Himself and His ways. (See Psalm 25:14; John 14:21.)
Sandy Simpson
John is also clear that those who love the Lord obey His commands (John 14:15, 23, 24; 15:10; 1 John 5:3) and love the truth (1 John 3:18, 2 Thes. 2:10). There is no way to know what the commands of the Lord are unless you know the written Word which contains the teachings of the prophets, Apostles and Jesus Christ (2 Thes. 2:15). Even Jesus said "It is written". God doesn't reveal Himself in our feelings, though sometimes that is one avenue the Spirit uses to convict us in the body, soul and spirit. God's greatest revelation is the Word (Christ), and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus' words are in the written Word, the Bible. To know Jesus Christ we must know what He said. What He said is in the Scriptures.
John Bevere
Returning to Simeon we read, "And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ. So he came by the Spirit into the temple" (Luke 2:26-27). Notice he came "by the Spirit." Not by the fact that he had read a book 101 Reasons Why the Messiah Will Come by 4 B.C. Not by reasons he had researched from the prophetic scriptures on the timetable of Christ's return. No, he came by the Spirit. He was intimate with God, and the Spirit led him to the temple that day.
Sandy Simpson
This is Gnosticism. Bevere is claiming the only way to have true revelation has nothing to do with what is written, when Paul said not to go beyond what is written (1 Cor. 4:6). If Simeon had not known the Scriptures, the Holy Spirit would have had no basis to lead him to know who Jesus Christ the Messiah was, just as the Spirit has no basis to lead pagans to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ without the Bible. There is an uninterruptable link between God's Word and the revelation of the Holy Spirit. One does not exist without the other, because God and His Word endure forever (Ecc. 3:14, 1 Pet. 1:25). Bevere is belittling the Scriptures. He is trying to teach a Gnostic Christianity at the expense of the final revelation of Truth (Heb. 4:12). I am convinced that Simeon would roundly rebuke Bevere if he could hear the misinterpretation of his lifelong devotion to God and His Word.
John Bevere
"And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: 'Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word; for my eyes have seen Your salvation which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.' And Joseph and His mother marveled at those things which were spoken of Him" (Luke 2:27-34). Now you must remember there were usually hundreds of people in the temple area at one time. So this man walks in their midst, approaches a young couple from Galilee with a month-old infant in their arms, holds the child up and exclaims, "The Messiah!" Yet thirty years later, experts in the prophetic scriptures couldn't recognize Him when He was casting out demons and healing the sick right before their very eyes! Why? They were following prophetic signs rather than seeking a relationship with the Lord.
Sandy Simpson
The problem with the experts in the Law was not that they were actually "following prophetic signs" but was that they didn't believe the signs they were seeing. The problem was not that they knew the Scriptures, but that they did not believe them (Joh 5:47). The problem was that they didn't know the signs of the times (Matt. 16:3), wanted to crucify the Savior (Luke 23:21), did not want their authority taken away (Luke 20:2). It is true they had no relationship with Jesus Christ because of unbelief, but not because they knew the Scriptures. This kind of teaching leads people to think that knowledge of the Scriptures is a bad thing. Shame on Bevere!
John Bevere
How about today? How many have studied and been taught by the best, yet remain out of step with the workings of the Holy Spirit? God yearns to reveal Himself, but He searches for those whose hearts are steadfast and loyal to Him. They have discovered the treasures beyond words found in our intimate knowledge of Him. We must choose, do we want the temporal, the easily seen and found, or do we seek the eternal, which can never be taken from us? (JBM Messenger, John Bevere Ministries, Sharpening Your Prophetic Insight by John Bevere, 11/02, http://www.johnbevere.org/messenger14.html)
Sandy Simpson
The Bible says that God has revealed Himself in Jesus Christ (2 Tim. 1:10), and through His Word (1 Sam. 3:21, Eph. 3:5, Rom. 16:26). What is Bevere talking about? Those who are "loyal" to the Lord will be "steadfast" in their obedience to the written Word of God, which we are not to "go beyond" (1 Cor. 4:6). They will know Jesus Christ because they know His Word, and not in spite of it.

Unik kristen bredd i Jesusmanifestation

Luther on ecumenism and papacy
History of the Papacy by J.A. Wylie: "...the Church (so-called) of Rome has no right to rank amongst Christian Churches. She is not a Church, neither is her religion the Christian religion. We are accustomed to speak of Popery as a corrupt form of Christianity. We concede too much. The Church of Rome bears the same relation to the Church of Christ which the hierarchy of Baal bore to the institute of Moses; and Popery stands related to Christianity only in the same way in which Paganism stood related to primeval Revelation. Popery is not a corruption simply, but a transformation. It may be difficult to fix the time when it passed from the one into the other; but the change is incontestible. Popery is the gospel transubstantiated into the flesh and blood of Paganism, under a few of the accidents of Christianity."
Martin Luther
Just as in the days of the Apostles, so at this day we are forced to hear from certain denominations that we (by our obstinacy to adhere to the truth) do offend against love and unity in the churches, because we reject their doctrine. It would be better (they say) that we should let it pass, especially since the doctrine in dispute is what they call non-essential, and, therefore (they say) to stir up so great a discord and contention in the church over one or two doctrines (and those not the most important ones) is unfruitful and unnecessary.
To this I reply: Cursed be that love and unity which cannot be preserved except at the peril of the word of God.

The negotiation about doctrinal agreement displeases me altogether, for this is utterly impossible unless the pope has his papacy abolished. Therefore avoid and flee those who seek the middle of the road. Think of me after I am dead and such middle-of-the-road men arise, for nothing good will come of it. There can be no compromise. (What Luther Says, II: 1019)
Ah, my dear brother in Christ, bear with me if here or elsewhere I use such coarse language when speaking of the wretched, confronted, atrocious monster at Rome! He who knows my thoughts must say that I am much, much, much too lenient and have neither words nor thought adequately to describe the shameful, abominable blasphemy to which he subjects the Word and name of Christ, our dear Lord and Savior. There are some Christians, wicked Christians indeed, who now would gloss things over to make the pope appear against in a good light and who, after he does so and has been dragged out of the mud, would like to reinstate him on the altar. But they are wicked people, whoever they may be, who defend the pope and want me to be quiet about the means whereby he has done harm. Truly, I cannot do this. All true, pious Christians, who love Christ and His Word, should, as said, be sincerely hostile to the pope. They should persecute him and injure him…. All should do this in their several calling, to the best of their ability, with all faithfulness and diligence. (What Luther Says, II: 1072)
What kind of a church is the pope’s church? It is an uncertain, vacillating and tottering church. Indeed, it is a deceitful, lying church, doubting and unbelieving, without God’s Word. For the pope with his wrong keys teaches his church to doubt and to be uncertain. If it is a vacillating church, then it is not the church of faith, for the latter is founded upon a rock, and the gates of hell cannot prevail against it (Matt.16:18). If it is not the church of faith, then it is not the Christian church, but it must be an unchristian, anti-Christian, and faithless church which destroys and ruins the real, holy, Christian church. (Luther’s Works, vol. 40, Church and Ministry II, The Keys, p.348)
All this is to be noted carefully, so that we can treat with contempt the filthy, foolish twaddle that the popes present in their decrees about their Roman church, that is, about their devil’s synagogue (Rev.2:9), which separates itself from common Christendom and the spiritual edifice built up on this stone, and instead invents for itself a fleshly worldly, worthless, lying, blasphemous, idolatrous authority over all of Christendom. One of these two things must be true: if the Roman church is not built on this rock along with the other churches, then it is the devil’s church; but if it is built, along with all the other churches, on this rock, then it cannot be lord or head over the other churches. For Christ the cornerstone knows nothing of two unequal churches, but only of one church alone, just as the Children’s Faith, that is, the faith of all of Christendom, says, ”I believe in one holy, Christian church,” and does not say, ”I believe in one holy Roman church.” The Roman church is and should be one portion or member of the holy Christian church, not the head, which befits solely Christ the cornerstone. If not, it is not a Christian but an UN-Christian and anti-Christian church, that is, a papal school of scoundrels. (Luther’s Works, Volume 41, Church and Ministry III, Against The Roman Papacy, An Institution Of The Devil, p.311)
I believe the pope is the masked and incarnate devil because he is the Antichrist. As Christ is God incarnate, so the Antichrist is the devil incarnate. The words are really spoken of the pope when its said that hes a mixed god, an earthly god, that is , a god of the earth. Here god is understood as god of this world. Why does he call himself an earthly god, as if the one, almighty God werent also on the earth? The kingdom of the pope really signifies the terrible wrath of God, namely, the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place. (Luthers Works, vol.54, Table Talks, No.4487, p.346)
C. H. Spurgeon on Popery
"It is the bounden duty of every Christian to pray against Antichrist, and as to what Antichrist is no sane man ought to raise a question. If it be not the Popery in the Church of Rome there is nothing in the world that can be called by that name. It wounds Christ, robs Christ of His glory, puts sacramental efficacy in the place of His atonement, and lifts a piece of bread in the place of the Saviour....If we pray against it, because it is against Him, we shall love the persons though we hate their errors; we shall love their souls, though we loathe and detest their dogmas...."
-- C. H. Spurgeon

Heb 12:15 Och sen till, att ingen går miste om Guds nåd, och att ingen giftig rot skjuter skott och bliver till fördärv, så att menigheten därigenom bliver besmittad;
Heb 10:37 Ty "ännu en helt liten tid, så kommer den som skall komma, och han skall icke dröja;
